About ARC60208

Architectural Design I (ARC60208) is a class that works as an introduction to the field of architecture. This preliminary design module exposed and explained to me design in terms of tectonics through the expression of 'self' and body perception, construction, and materiality. The essential methodologies, principles, and approaches in design thinking and basic spatial design were introduced to me through a series of studio-based exercises and tasks. Understanding anthropometrics and building intrapersonal space with creative exercises using my body movements and experiences greatly helped me with this.
